Carmalt PreK-8 in Brookline was placed on lockdown on Tuesday morning after a threatening social media post was discovered. The post, which was made on Snapchat, threatened to "shoot up" the school. Police were immediately notified and responded to the scene. The school was placed on lockdown as a precaution while police investigated.
After a thorough investigation, police determined that there was no credible threat to the school. The lockdown was lifted and students and staff were allowed to return to their normal activities. No injuries were reported.
